According to researchers in Britain, the dress size of the average British woman has grown from 12 to 14 in just over a decade.  People are getting larger, and there are consequences. A recent study by Paul Komesaroff, MD, PhD, a professor of medicine at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia found that 72 of the 76 participants reported they had experienced humiliation and discrimination related to their weight, whether in childhood or later.  If you are carrying extra fat, you may be experiencing the social stigma that accompanies obesity. It is harder to establish relationships. Sometimes it interferes with a job search. Friendly interchange at the grocery store may be replaced with curt, forced politeness.  These daily occurrences eat away at self-esteem. It becomes more and more difficult to carry on, and many turn to the wrong foods in order to feel better. None of this need be factored into your life any longer.  Simply turn your body into a fat burning furnace and you can emerge from this negativity into a healthy, happy lifestyle.
